This work began with my question of whether it would be possible to create a sense of "space" within one's own mind by gazing into the vortex that forms when one stares for a long period of time.
I got inspired by Jupiter Abyss which is the Jovian jet stream taken by NASA’s Juno spacecraft. Abyss is the vortex that has an intensely dark center.
Even though we can observe Jupiter's atmosphere through the medium by satellite, camera, and images, there are so many things that are unclear, and it is still an Abyss for humanity. The extremely deep and bottomless aspect of Jupiter Abyss is similar to the general term abyss, and I think it resonates with human perceptions. When you look into the screen (camera), a vortex begins to swirl, creating an image that hypnotizes the viewer.
